(for the record, I still think it's an extremely interesting idea (not to mention hard gripping realism cakes). Just the idea of all the *not* sex is making me whimper: nooooooooooooooo!)
October 28 2005, 00:41:20 UTC 6 years ago
It's coming along really well. I've got about 1800 words so far. It's pretty painful to write, though. I keep wanting to give Michael what he wants. :/
October 28 2005, 00:42:38 UTC 6 years ago
Or at least lots of fantasy sequences :D (ok I get it, it's supposed to be a serious fic, so no hot fantasy romps)
October 28 2005, 00:50:33 UTC 6 years ago
I've got a fantasy sequence thingy planned. I don't want the fic to be where Michael wakes up one day and decides he's in love with his brother, but I am going to have him wake up after a dream where he's kissing Lincoln. Cause then that provides time for angst, that cliched soul-searching, and awkward moments with Lincoln later.
Hot fantasty romps are always awesome, btw. :D

Teammates. - Def out breakout gang
Independence. - Seth getting independence from T-Bag
School. - Akne!T-Bag
Life. - T-Bag watching the life/blood drain out of one of his victims
Choices. - Blablabla, Theodore could have been just another average accountant or bible salesman. Instead he decided to pick up the rock and kill the kitten/girl/neighbour's dog
Birthday - Seth, naked, wearing nothing but a ribbon around you know what; Or just generally a take on the scene where his goons give him Seth as a present and he thinks that it's just like Christmas/a birthday.
Not Enough. - T-Bag wanking off thinking of Michael and thinking about he needs the real thing
Lovers. - Completly coked out T-Bag lying in his cell and fantasizing about him and Maytag (or Seth) actually being like real lovers
Diamond - somehow that gives me a Michael vibe, something about his intellect, his stare, his determination being as hard as diamond. Alternate, "diamond in the rough" theme. Maybe T-Bag discovering Maytag?
At least one of the colors should be the color of somebody's dress. Mother? Teacher? Victim?
Insides - It's T-Bag. So of course my first thought is intestines.
And I know that I want at least one "festivity at the Bagwells" kind of story where we meet T-Bag's crazy family. (potentionally not the intermediate monogloid mother/rapist father one, since it seems unlikely that he would live with them)

Independence. - Seth getting independence from T-Bag
By stabbing him, possibly?
School. - Akne!T-Bag
Yes! There's a lack of schoolaged!Theodore.
Life. - T-Bag watching the life/blood drain out of one of his victims
That'll be exceptionally creepy. I think I'll have him choking somebody to death, and watching their eyes.
Not Enough. - T-Bag wanking off thinking of Michael and thinking about he needs the real thing
Oh, my. *shiver* That'll be hot. I love wanking!fic.
Lovers. - Completly coked out T-Bag lying in his cell and fantasizing about him and Maytag (or Seth) actually being like real lovers
Mmm, yes. *Googles effects of coke* You know, it's time like these when I wish I did (well, not really –– more like knew people who did) drugs heavier than marijuana. I'd know more.
At least one of the colors should be the color of somebody's dress. Mother? Teacher? Victim?
Do you think T-Bag knew his mother? I wonder if she died in childbirth.
October 28 2005, 01:27:52 UTC 6 years ago
I dunno. I just figured that even if he knew her, it would probably hard to have much of a satisfying relationship with her if she was really mongoloid. I'm sure somebody else must have raised him.
Another period of his like that I think would be intersting is the whole thing with Alliance of Purity that gets mentioned in the foxbio. He encounters them while he's still in juvie so that strikes me as interesting. Makes think that it would make sense if T-Bag had a mentor of some sort. (wonder if he killed him, or he's like the only person T-Bag still respects)
Besides, I'd love for somebody to work up all of the foxbio and write a background story to each one of his priors.
And lots and lots of Michael/T-Bag. Did you see their scene in the previews?
October 28 2005, 01:34:49 UTC 6 years ago
He went to juvie for attempted arson when he was 10, and that's a pretty vulnerable age. He definitely would have had a mentor, and I bet he killed him.
I'm currently writing something about his prior for battery. :)
Loved the Michael/T-Bag scene in the preview. Robert Knepper and Wentworth Miller have such good chemistry together, it's awesome.

That sounds like a very fascinating story. Almost tragic. In a "The only guy I ever loved/respected and who taught me so much and I killed him" kind of way. Then again, I wouldn't put it beyond T-Bag to not actually believe in the whole Aryan ideology. And to just see it, analyze it and see the advantages it has in gaining power over people. Or that it was mainly something he got sucked in because the Aryans protected him from abuse in juvie. And it's more like friendship type of loyality and group mentality.
The only concern that I have is that if he killed somebody potentially important in AoP wouldn't that reflect negatively on him as far as rising in the ranks of it are concerned. Then again, probably not. He could do it so nobody knows or his mentor could just be in the middle hierachy of AoP, hell he could even be killing him on the orders of somebody even higher up.
Another tought came to me, if this happened in juvie, chances are that the mentor was just a kid himself. Or he could have been a guard. On Oz they had a couple of guards which were directly aligned with the various prison groups. Some being directly in the mob's pocket others being with the Aryans (I'm guessing for ideological reasons). Now that would put a whole new disturbing twist on things.
It's interesting that there are not mentions of him doing any race hate related crimes on the outside (unless it's hidden somehwere in the battery and attempted murder charges). Because if his outside crimes didn't really relate to ideology, that could be considered a sign that T-Bag is not taking the Aryan world view terribly seriously. Again, thinking of Oz, there the leader of the Aryans, Schillinger, had his exalted position because he was a white supremacist on the outside as well and I think was also in jail for some racial crime.
October 28 2005, 19:45:52 UTC 6 years ago
Totally. T-Bag doesn't seem to believe in the white supremicist deal. (Or maybe FOX just doesn't him to be too racist, out of fear of getting frowned upon.) But he does use it go gain power. I mean, he clearly enjoys being in charge.
About the mentor thing –– I can see it being a guard. If T-Bag (or, rather, Theodore at the time) was new, he was vulnerable and afraid. A guard would probably offer him protection from the other kids, and Theodore might see him as a father figure. (What was the name of the Aryan C.O. on Oz? Metzger?)
Hmm. You're right. There is nothing about race-related/hate crimes in T-Bag's rap sheet. (It would make a great fic –– T-Bag thinking about the Aryan views and what he thinks of them.)
(I've watched up to episode 4.12 in Oz. I'm so in love with this show.)

Yes I get that that was so heterosexual males could watch the show too and have somebody to identify with. But I still thought it was unfair.
I totally shipped Adebisi/Said. And I thought their ending was oddy perfect (and that one time where Adebisi hits on Said was OMG swoonworthy to me). And I also adored Busmalis and Reabadow (the two old guys digging the tunnel in their cell). I also really liked hte blonde guard chick and I even liked her with McManus. And the nun totally rocked my socks.
I wasn't really that into Keller/Beecher. Which is odd since I liked both Beecher and Keller as characters. It's just that I found their love story slighty melodramatic.
October 28 2005, 21:24:10 UTC 6 years ago
Adebsi/Said, OTP! :D I have such a thing for both the actors (they're beautiful), and the characters are just so awesome. I cried when Adebsi died. He was such a crazy guy, but I loved him.
(and that one time where Adebisi hits on Said was OMG swoonworthy to me
Oh, yes. That was when Said moved into Adebisi's pod, right? And the curtains covered the lights, so it was all dark and spooky and hot. :D
Busmalis and Reabadow are perfect. I love every scene with them. :)
Sister Pete is just so cool. I love her. :D She and Father Mukada have great chemistry together.
I'm fairly obsessed with the Keller/Beecher storyline, actually. (I think it's because I have a deep love for Christopher Meloni and Lee Tergesen.) I cried at the episode where Keller is transfered out of Oz.
October 28 2005, 21:38:09 UTC 6 years ago
It might be. The only thing I remember is that in my memory Adabesi says something completely swoonworthy to Said. Something about wanting to kiss him I think. Which is just powerful because Adabesi is usually all "Rape first, don't ask questions later."
One of my favourite storylines was when Adebisi meets the Voodo guy and starts to turn to religion and becomes "good" for a while. I don't know why, but that storyline just amused me endlessly.
I adore Chris Meloni (love him on SVU as well). And Keller was just such a cool character.
October 28 2005, 21:44:32 UTC 6 years ago
Said: Does that mean you're gonna kill me?
Adebisi: Kill you? I want to kiss you. But because I admire
you more than I desire you - (He gives Said a videotape.) This
is what you came for.
=> me: *swoon* Just the way he says it.
I have to say though, the only thing I ever liked about Ryan was the relationship with his brother. Other than that I just really, really hated him. He was just so evil for my taste and the show kept acting like he was such an admirable guy.
But yeah, I really think that Ryan never got raped so there would be at least one character who can skate around all that. So, like I said, guys can watch the series too and have somebody to root for and identify with.
October 28 2005, 22:02:17 UTC 6 years ago
Ryan and Cyril's relationship is one of my favorite parts of the show. Ryan is this manipulative prick, but when he's with his brother, he's so kind and caring. It just makes me smile. :) But Ryan's definitely something for the guys to relate to. I think I, as a heterosexual female, like Ryan so much because Dean Winters is so pretty. Wow. I'm only slightly shallow.
